Our Founders have spent a combined 50+ years working in disruptive industries. In 2017 Maxwell Miles was formed, a boutique strategy and business growth consultancy. We have helped businesses and leaders around the world to shape strategies, drive growth and deliver change. 

Having been leaders, driving change through the dot com, ecommerce and marketplace disruptions of the previous 20 years, our founders observed how AI had been increasing in capability for a long time. AI strategy and support services now form an integral part of how we help businesses and in 2023 we created our first online learning course to support business leaders to help navigate the change brought about by the rapid development in AI.

Our courses have delivered valuable insights and learnings to over 100,000 global business professionals. As demand for our courses continues to grow, we have launched AI Leaders Academy.

AI Leaders Academy is the new home of Maxwell Miles learning where you can access all of our AI courses and programs. Our courses are developed with business leaders and professionals in mind. You don't need any technical background to learn with us, our courses are designed to focus on business outcomes, opportunities and risks so you can focus on growing your business, developing your skills and shaping your career. Our platform gives you lifetime access to the courses you purchase, meaning you will receive all of our regular updates for no extra cost. AI Leaders Academy's courses are broken into bit-sized chunks so you can schedule your learning around your busy work days. All programs feature on-demand video, tasks and resources.

We had been watching the development of AI with interest for some time, keen to see the opportunities for business with this new technology.  Everything changed in 2022 though...

Disruption Accelerates

In 2022, with the launch of ChatGPT, we saw that the business world would be undergoing huge amounts of change and disruption that would impact every business professional. We also saw that business leaders and professionals did not have the knowledge or skills to meet the challenges that AI bring head-on.

First Innovative course launched: AI For Business Leaders

In early 2023, online training courses were directed at technical machine learning skills, not the business impacts of AI. As Management Consultants that have held senior positions at firms such as EY, Accenture and boutique consultancies, and as industry leaders that have set up businesses such as ASOS Marketplace, we saw the need for executive training on AI's impact. This led us to create our AI for Business Leaders course in early 2023.

We continued to launch innovative courses, like our AI Agent and AI Business fundamentals courses.

We soon discovered our hunch was right - and our courses were a huge success. Over 100,000 business leaders and professionals have now completed our courses, and we have acquired over 27,000 5-star reviews in the last 2 years, due to our unique business knowledge and constant course content update strategy.

Richard Maxwell

Richard has 25+ years experience helping businesses grow and transform and has held senior roles at boutique consultancies as well as large firms, such as Accenture and EY. 

He has deep knowledge in Business Models, Business Strategy, Operating Models, Digital Transformation, Technology Strategy, Change Management and Artificial Intelligence. Throughout an extensive career Richard has consulted in many industries, including Retail, Professional Services, Agriculture, FMCG, FinTech and digital business. His experience spans businesses in Europe, the UK, USA and Oceania.

Richard's inspiration for teaching and education comes from his Mother, Heather Maxwell OBE, who was awarded an OBE for Services to Education.

Richard is also the Co-Founder of Maxwell Miles.

Leighanne Miles

Leighanne has 20+ years of experience in developing new business models, driving disruptive change, advising boards and business leaders and delivering growth. 

She specialises in Strategy, Business Development, Marketing and Digital in Retail and Ecommerce, but brings experience across a range of industries including telco, financial, service and healthcare.

Her customer-led focus on driving business change and performance, through her innovative strategies, has delivered significant success in the businesses she has worked with.
